Don't forget the mix!

Our very own formulation contains all the necessary nutrients for newly installed plants without overstimulating top growth. All organic compost from various sources for balanced feeding without risk of burning. Our New England soil is pretty poor so we add peat moss to help with clay as well as retain moisture. Finally, we fortify the mix with microbes giving you a "living" soil amendment which increases the plants ability to absorb nutrients. Corliss Mix is like plant insurance and should always be used when planting field grown nursery stock that is in burlap. Field dug plants have most of their roots cut off and will greatly benefit with its addition at time of installation. It helps reduce stress and increases the speed at which it recovers. If you are one of the few that has good rich soil then you can skip it but for everybody else... "Don't forget the mix!"
